Privacy Policy for Aircrew FlightMate Android
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. Introduction
Aircrew FlightMate respects your privacy. This policy explains how your information is handled in the Android app. The app does not require an Aircrew FlightMate account and does not operate its own server for receiving your credentials or roster data.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The app can store your airline portal username and password when you choose to save them, your downloaded or imported roster, app preferences, and temporary cached data. Rosters may contain duties, flights, standby events, hotel information, comments, and crew-related details.
Saved credentials are encrypted using a key protected by Android Keystore. Roster information, preferences, and caches are stored in the app's local storage.
3. How Your Information Is Used
Your credentials are used to sign in directly to your airline's roster portal and its authentication services when you request a download. The developer does not receive those credentials. Portal and sign-in providers process these requests under their own privacy terms.
Roster information is processed on your device to display duties, detect changes, merge newly downloaded roster parts, and provide related calendar and duty views. The app does not use advertising or analytics services and does not sell your personal data.
4. Exports, Sharing, and Email
You can choose to export roster information or share a roster file through Android's share menu. Shared files may contain personal roster and crew information. The receiving app or service handles the information under its own privacy terms. Sharing occurs only when you choose to use these features.
If you contact the developer by email, the recipient receives your sender address, message, and any attachments you choose to include. This information is used to handle your request, troubleshoot, and reply. Please do not send passwords, login tokens, or unnecessary personal information.
5. Storage, Backups, and Retention
App data remains in local storage until you remove it, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Files you export or share are separate copies and must be removed from their respective locations.
Android backup and device-transfer features are enabled for the app. Depending on your device and system settings, eligible app data may be included in a system backup or transferred to another device. Backups are handled by your system or backup provider under its own terms, not by an Aircrew FlightMate server. Manage or delete those copies through that provider.
Support emails may remain in your provider's sent mailbox and the developer's Gmail mailbox. The developer retains them only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request and maintain its related support record.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You choose whether to save credentials, download or import a roster, export or share a file, or contact the developer. You can clear local app data through Android settings and manage backup settings through your device or backup provider.
Subject to applicable data-protection law, you may request access, correction, restriction, or deletion of personal data sent to the developer. You may also object to processing or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. External providers may process information outside your country under their own privacy terms and applicable safeguards.
7. Contact
For privacy questions or requests concerning information sent to the developer, contact aircrewflightmate@gmail.com.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the app's data practices or services change. The date above identifies the current version. The Website and Email Privacy notice covers visits to this website and email enquiries.
