Privacy Policy for Aircrew FlightMate iOS
Policy version: 10 August 2026
1. Introduction
Aircrew FlightMate respects your privacy. This policy explains how your personal information is handled when using the app.
2. What Information We Collect
Aircrew FlightMate can store the following information on your device:
- Your airline login email or username and password, when you choose to save them.
- Your duty roster, crew profile, app preferences, and temporary cached data.
When you prepare feedback, the app places your message, app version and build, submission time, and any name you provide in Apple’s system mail composer. Your name may be prefilled from your local crew profile, but you can change or remove it. The recipient can see the sender address of the Mail account used to send the message. You can separately choose to attach parsed roster data as JSON, the original roster source as HTML, or both. These attachments may contain roster and crew information and are disabled by default. Nothing is sent until you choose Send in the mail composer.
3. How Your Information Is Used
Your credentials are used only to sign in to your airline’s portal in the app and retrieve your roster. They are sent directly to the airline portal; the developer does not receive them.
Weather features send the airport identifier or coordinates needed for the request to Apple WeatherKit or AVWX. They do not send your airline credentials or roster.
Feedback sent by email is used only to review your request, troubleshoot the reported issue, and respond when necessary. Aircrew FlightMate does not use your information for advertising or tracking and does not sell your personal data.
4. External Services
Aircrew FlightMate uses these external services only when their related feature is used:
- Your airline portal for roster access.
- Apple WeatherKit and AVWX for weather information.
- The email account configured for Apple Mail and the recipient’s email provider when you send feedback.
These providers process requests under their own privacy terms and may process data in countries outside your own, subject to applicable data-transfer safeguards.
5. Storage and Retention
Saved credentials are protected by Apple’s Keychain. Roster data, crew information, preferences, and caches are stored in the app’s local storage.
Local app data remains until you remove it or delete the app. Because Keychain items can persist independently of normal app files, remove saved credentials in the app if you want to ensure they are deleted.
Sent feedback may remain in your email provider’s sent mailbox and in the developer’s Gmail mailbox. The developer keeps feedback only as long as reasonably necessary to review the request, respond, troubleshoot, and maintain the related support record. Attached roster JSON or HTML is used only for that support purpose.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Sending feedback is optional. You can review, edit, or cancel the email in Apple’s mail composer before it is sent, and roster files are attached only when you explicitly enable the related options. Please avoid including information that is not needed to handle your request.
Subject to applicable data-protection law, you may request access, correction, restriction, or deletion of personal data included in feedback. You may also object to processing or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
7. Contact
If you have a privacy question or want to exercise your rights, contact the developer through the Help & Feedback page in the app or at aircrewflightmate@gmail.com.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the app’s data practices or services change. The version date shown on the Privacy Policy page identifies the current policy.
